PATHETIC is a contemporary riff on Racine’s vigorously pessimistic tragedy Phèdre. Hexameter meets Sonic tots at a high school in the desert Southwest. Teen girls experiment with sex, murder and magic while mom sinks deep into lust and self-loathing. Will Venus favor the good? Or is the goddess of Love just licking her chops for sacrifice?
